While these meanings refer to specific mathematical characteristics that might not connect directly with our work, we believe there is poetry in how these scientific terms relate to the role of Expos in building a more harmonious society.

• Identity: Although official participation in Expos is based on national identity, the term also means that different expressions have the same value.

• Congruence: Expos embody the will of different countries to establish communication with their counterparts, and Expos do so by bringing together people from almost every country on Earth.

• Equivalence: Different perspectives hold equal value.​
