Expo 2027, will be hosted by Belgrade, Serbia, marking the first time a BIE Expo is held in Southeastern Europe and in the former Yugoslavia. The theme is "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All".

Serbia was elected as the host country during the 172nd General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) on June 21, 2023, after four rounds of voting. Serbia's bid was chosen over those from Malaga, Spain; Minnesota, United States; Phuket, Thailand; and Bariloche, Argentina. The official presentation of Belgrade’s candidacy was held in November of the previous year at the 171st General Assembly of the BIE in Paris.
